Picture This... I'd rather not!!!

Is there any another movie that is as meaningless, dull and superficial as Picture This? I think not! And I thought chic flicks are superficial! Ok, I've heard of parents having trust issues with their children and malicious high school girls slandering others, but this is ridiculous! And to think I was dying to watching the movie! What was I thinking?! A dad that always keeps tabs on his daughter! Talk about insecurities! Seems more like stalking to me! And a girl who does anything to get her "dream man" to notice her! And I mean she does virtually anything! What is happening to the world of cinema? What happened to classic arts, the time-honored oldies that all of us cherish and watch repeatedly? There was absolutely zilch chemistry between Drew Patterson and Mandie Gilbert.
And like a tiny slit in her dress is going to make much of a difference at the much awaited party, when Lisa Cross wore the same dress but without a slit! A big whoopie for the creative style! Ashley Tisdale ought to just concentrate on her candy girl character in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, where she was more appreciated and lay off producing her own movies! What was she trying to prove? I don't get the picture, no pun intended.

The Web Bot Project - Doomsday(dec. 12, 2012)

The Web Bot Project created by Microsoft was designed in the 90s to make predictions on their stock market value.
Most of you must have heard of Web Bot Project(WBP) and it's ability to predict the future. The WBP has this spider like system that crawls the Internet to search words, exactly like a Search Engine. The bot takes the words before and after the word entered, the texts selected are sent to the main location to get the exact meaning. The concept of the bot is to roam the universe(of course through the internet!) and it's secret holes and hiding places, the past and present and even the future! One of the approaches used was to send a lot of web bots out to look at thousands of lines of detail on the web every day, then send back the results. This process is so complicated that even search engines like Excel cannot compete.
But in 2001, the bot programmers started to notice "coincidental occurrences" apart from the daily stock market predictions and decided to explore it further.
One of the most famous and most accurate predictions of the WBP was in june 2001, the bot predicted that something life-altering that would change the face of the earth and it mankind would occur within 60-90days. Scary isn't it?! And guess what was that life-altering event?
Yup, the destruction of the World Trade Centers a.k.a the Twin Towers in NYC on september 11, 2001!
How can something so scientific as the internet get caught up in something as unrealistic as astronomy or astrology? Well, it has. The mixture of realism and delusion has finally occurred, to the distress of the realists.
Get this, the bot also predicted the ending of the world on December 12, 2012. Not just the bot, but even the Mayans(pre-Columbian Americans often considered to be clairvoyants) predicted that mankind will end in the year 2012 AD. BUT! This end MAY represent a symbolic end, than a literal end. Even more intriguing is the fact that there is scientific evidence that points to a very rare astrological occurrence taking place in 2012. For centuries, the Mayans believed in the existence of a dark rift(the black hole) in the center of the Milky Way and considered it fact. Only recently did scientists discover that it actually does exist.

Hopefully this "symbolic end" is what the talk is all about.
